resolution of the photo: 1725 x 1725 pixels

This pearlboat from the Indian Ocean has fascinated me. It's the only recent species with a chambered outer shell. The chambers are connected by a siphon. By pumping water and air from one chamber to the other the animal regulates its floating level.
